Abstrak
East Kurau Village is one of the villages in Central Bangka Regency which has many tourism potential that can be developed to support economic growth. Located 58 km from the provincial capital of Pangkalpinang City, this village has a geographical advantage to attract tourists from various regions. Tourism potential is very diverse, including historical tourism, nature tourism, culinary tourism, and special interest tourism. The edutourism concept introduced here is a combination of education and tourism in a tourist destination. Edutourism concept developed in East Kurau are adventure tourism in mangrove forests and learn about the types and characteristics of Mangroves. Mangrove forests have many benefits in terms of infrastructure, culture, biology and ecology. An introduction to mangrove plants is also expected to increase public awareness of the visitors to protect and conserve mangrove forests. The development of the edutourism mangrove is expected to be able to attract more tourists to visit and explore East Kurau.
