Abstrak

Childhood to adolescence is a very vulnerable period in the growth process, because this is the period when people often have the desire to do something new. During their growth period, they are often affected by the environment, including the area where active and passive smokers are exposed, so that children can be affected by their environment. Cigarettes are one of the causes of disease that is very dangerous to health, a disease caused not only for those who consume it directly but also for those who are unconsciously around people who smoke cigarettes or are exposed to other people's cigarette smoke. The purpose of this legal counseling is to increase knowledge and understanding of the scope of smoke-free areas based on the law as well as the sanctions given to violators regulated by law. Meanwhile, the expected benefits in this legal counseling are to provide input to teachers and students to play an active role in providing knowledge about legal regulations regarding smoke-free areas and the sanctions based on the Law itself in the community. This community service activity was carried out at SMA N 4 Sungai Penuh City with the methods used were lectures and questions and answers. With the hope that students can understand about smoke-free areas as well as compliance and obedience to laws that regulate smoke-free areas.
