SOSIALISASI LITERASI CERDAS BERMEDIA SOSIAL PADA PELAJAR SMP NEGERI DI KOTA SUNGAI PENUH

Abstrak

The Community Service Team at the Faculty of Law, Jambi University in 2020, chose a theme that attracted the attention of the public including students, namely "Socialization of Smart Literacy on Social Media to Students of Sungai Penuh City Junior High School," in this socialization conveying material about the dangers of hoax news and also legal implications, if not using social media intelligently. Through this socialization activity carried out for students at SMP N 8 Sungai Penuh City, it is hoped that it will provide knowledge and understanding of the ITE Law which regulates society to be smart in social media and the impact if there is misuse of social media, which has criminal sanctions for those who abuse it. including the spread of hoax news. With the knowledge and understanding obtained about the ITE Law, students can prevent themselves from participating in spreading hoax news that is not certain the truth is. This community service is carried out in order to disseminate information to students in order to avoid becoming victims and perpetrators of spreading hoax news among students. From this activity, it is expected to be able to provide knowledge and understanding to students in schools that have been selected by the Community Service team, namely, with the consideration that these schools have never carried out community service activities. By gaining knowledge and understanding of smart mass media in order to prevent the spread of hoax news among students, it is hoped that students who take part in this activity will be able to share the information obtained with other students around them so that other students can gain the same knowledge about intelligent social media literacy.
