PEMBERDAYAAN PENGRAJIN BUAH GANITRI SEBAGAI PENGGERAK EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DESA PELANGAS

Abstrak

Pelangas Village has a good natural vegetation. It is not astonished that many trees with benefits grow. One of them is ganitri tree at Penyabung Hill. The ganitri produces fruit which its seeds are used for making bracelets, necklaces, and so on. Recently, the crafts becomes popular. Not only because its affordable price but also the benefits. The tools is important for running this handicraft business. The problem is the limited fund to buy a seed cleaner tool, so craftsmen still use traditional one which make the production runs slowly. The efforts given are socialization with two stages. The first stage is preparation: coordination with the village government and preparation of activity schedules. Then visits ganitri craftsmen to find out the problems they are facing. The second stage is socialization which was held on August 11, 2020 and created social media accounts such as mail, instagram, and blogspot. The socialization contains managerial education for businessmen and college students deliver the design of product packaging. It is expected to build people's knowledge about the stages of obtaining funds and make the products more attractive also create social media accounts for better ganitri handicraft products promotion.
