Abstrak

A child who for some reason must be brought before a court of law, and then blamed and up to the placement in the Special Child Development Institue (LPKA), the condition of the child to grow and develop must be calculated in such a way that it is not due to improper handling and formalities, the potential for children so large it develops in a negative and dangerous direction. So there needs to be coaching that is creative and can be developed both in the form of fostering personality and fostering independence. Considering the importance of this guidance process, the dedication team is interested in giving a role to the process of fostering independence in the form of empowerment for the children of Class II LPKA Pangkalpinang residents. Empowerment is done is the socialization, training and practice of making hydroponic with the consideration that hydroponic is suitable to be applied in conditions that do not require large tracts of land. The long-term outcome expected from this service is to increase the ability of independence and skills of LPKA Class II children. In order to achieve the planned output targets, the service activities are carried out in the following stages: (1) presentation of "Hydroponics" material to provide understanding; (2) Training for Hydroponic Manufacturing Practices and (3) mentoring for one month of gardening with a hydroponic system. The result of this dedication was the formation of a hydroponic garden which was placed in LPKA Class II Pangkalpinang which was managed jointly by officers and children of LPKA Class II Pangkalpinang.
