EFISIENSI TEKNIS USAHATANI LADA PUTIH DENGAN METODE PENDEKATAN DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (DEA) DI PROPINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG

Abstrak

Efficiency is one of the most crucial aspect for smallholders as tool to take the production decision on the available alternatives.Technical efficiency becomes part of farming activities. The study aims to analyze the technical efficiency of white pepper cultivation in Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Data Envelopment Analysis was employed to discover the relevant information. The study revealed that the white pepper smallholders were inefficient in using the production inputs. It suggests the the white pepper smallholders are able to utilize the good quality of seeds, to improve the use of financial capital, to reduce the excessive use of anorganic fertilizer, pesticide as well as the non family member worker so that the efficient practice on the cultivation of white pepper is achieved.
